Replicate processing, data filtering, and data normalization

01 Aug 2016 – Spotxel® supports replicate processing, data filtering, and data normalization.

Microarray users now have a very handy tool to preprocess and normalize their microarray data. SICASYS GmbH has released the Data Preprocessing and Normalization tool which supports:

• Replicate processing: Represent replicates’ signal value with the mean or the median value.
• Header filtering: Narrow the dataset to features which contain, or exclude, or match a regular expression search pattern.
• Numeric value filtering: Set lower and upper thresholds.
• Data normalization: Enable data from different samples to be analyzed together by normalizing them to Z-Score, Z-Factor, or ratio values to those of calibration controls which can be chosen among features in the dataset.

The Data Preprocessing and Normalization tool is available in the new version of Spotxel® and will soon be integrated into PepSlide® software.
